Hey there! Posting on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and this lovely blog have helped me to realize that I have an almost forgotten love for nutrition and fitness. Skincare is intertwined with nutrition and fitness, because we are what we eat after all and we can’t have super energy to do things like Crossfit if we’re not eating right. So, I decided on Instagram to start posting about super foods for inner and outer health. First up on the super skin foods’ list …AVOCADO! 👏 This super food is packed with nutrients that are important for all life stages. From youth, pregnancy, to old age, the monounsaturated fats in avocados can help lower cholesterol and blood pressure and help protect cell walls while the naturally occurring folate contributes to the development of a healthy fetus. There is so much to love about avocados! With nutrition this good, it just makes sense to use the oil from this fruit’s huge seeds for skin applications too! The good fats, vitamins, proteins, and minerals help keep your skin hydrated and glowing. Adding avocado to your current recipes is easy and sure to heighten your culinary creations. Use them in smoothies, baked goods for creaminess, pudding, tacos, salads, and so much more! Because they are high in calories, make sure to eat only 1/4 to 1/2 an avocado for 1 person to get all of its super nutrition.
